Vista gaming will be 10 to 15 per cent slower than XP - Page 12

I had a terrible time with SuSE 10.0. It looked nice and all, but the programs all seemed so half-***ed. You can tell it was made by hobbyists instead of company-backed programmers. I just couldn't install any programs or anything for it; the only stuff that would run was stuff included on the disks. I really wish there would be like a Linux convention where Linuxists would get together and create a mainstream Linux that windows users could migrate to. They would make drivers for all the hardware, make programs for everything.... Too bad it's only a dream. It would take a lot of work to break the spell of MS lol..

Linux is well coded but Windows will always have one up on linux as it offers much better driver support and general device support and ease of use for the typical customer.

Windows also has greater software choices.

The faster OC'ers and hard core optimisers get involved in Vista, the sooner it will run better. If everyone sits back and waits for MS to fix the bugs the longer it will take to remove the 10-15% game slowdown.

Indeed it does...Thats why its an advantage over Linux as large corperations do look for an easy to use OS that has good support for both software and hardware alike.
