Request: Validation of WC Build Before I Purchase - Page 2

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Same goes for 'pleasent sound'. They are steller fans and if you decided you didn't like them, you would definitely be able to resell them.

Your case is so large, you might want to investigate making a plenum to go between the fans and the radiator. The GT's have a huge motor and if it sits right next to the rad that part won't work efficiently.
The GTX might have a small built in one.

I had to look what plenum was haha. I'm assuming you mean a plenum chamber? I went to the Hardware Labs website and looked up the specs:
Quote:
Built-in 15mm deep plenum for equalized core air pressure distribution.

Do you think 15mm is sufficient space for the fan motors?

[edit]

Ah crap, I linked the wrong rad from Hardware Labs. The actual GTX 360 link. The specs don't state anything about a plenum...

1850 rpm GTs certainly wont be silent, if that's what you're after. I'd rather an SR-1 which works better on lower speeds.
Gtx rads dont have built-in shroud as sr-1 does iirc.

The plenum chamber is on the opposite side of the fittings. My SR-1 280 mm has one, so I'd assume the 360 would.

On my old cosmos case build I used three dead fans that I gutted. Just used the plastic shells. Worked, but increased the sound noise a little.
The built in plenum is going to be just fine.
