Help with keycaps for Razer Blackwidow

Thread Starter
I'm really surprised on how fast the keycaps on the Blackwidow developed shine and smoothed down so fast (two - three months?) mad.gif and I need a few questions answered. I know that the spacebar will not work but will the stabilizers on the Enter Key/Backspace etc match?

And should I get a set of ABS keycaps from WASD or PBT From Here.

does anyone have pictures of a blackwidow with white keycaps so I can get a bit of a preview?

Well I can tell you that any of the ABS keycaps from WASD will develop the shine just as fast as the stock caps. They are still nice for what they are, but any abs caps with that texture will wear pretty fast frown.gif

I see. I suppose I should try PBT. How fast do they start to shine? And do they feel or sound different?

Well the feel will depend on if you get a smooth or textured finish on the keys. The shine turned up pretty quick , especially on the w, a, s, and d keys (the most use). Maybe a months time.

I will try; its hard to get the shine to show without a flash on. A flash just makes all the keys have a shine tongue.gif

On the ABS. They wore just as fast as the stock caps on my g6v2, but I'm not complaining. They are made of the same material so it is to be expected.

I'm a terrible photographer, and texture is had to capture (I'll take any pointers), but here is, from left: a set of PBT caps with 2 months use, the gray set from WASD is brand new, and the blue set is from WASD with 3 months use. If you can see, the blue set is worn completely smooth and has that shine.
