Scary and awesome at the same time.

So just like all other HP products expect to replace your entire system every 2-5 years when the laser burns out

With the rut processors have been in for the last few years, this is a much needed change.

rut?

Processors have gonea HUGE DISTANCE in last two year, th eonly way i see CPU being in a rut, is the manufacturer's desperately retarded need to keep adding more cores.

Fine and all for servers but lets face it, any game currently maxing out a Current Gen Quad Core i5 or i7?

question is, does a laser power chip require more, or less power to operate?

Providing more juice, does that give mroe speed?

Believe it or not the world does not revolve around you and your needs. That and you obviously didn't read the article.

The article states HP hopes to have this technology ready by 2017, not 2013.
