So I was downloading BIOS for my P8P67 Pro from the Asus website and I saw this:

133

Does that means Ivy Bridge will be supported on P67 too??

Sandy Bridge chipsets, except Q65, Q67 and B65, support both Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs though a BIOS upgrade is required

Where have you been? confused.gif This has been known for months. I've been on that BIOS since around November or so (now on 2 different P8P67 Pro's). tongue.gif

It's funny though, seeing everybody say you HAVE to have z68 for Ivy, yet our P67 boards all have the BIOS update too.

Only thing missing is PCIe 3.0 and SSD caching (and obviously onboard video). Not really all that big of a deal if you ask me. Especially considering some of us bought our P67 boards on release day. smile.gif

Well I didn't know they are supported on P67 too. I thought they're only supported on Z68. Cool stuff. 3570K, here I come!

Why would you go from a 2500 to a 3570 on a P67? Other than the graphics what is the advantage?

Because I can. It's my hobby and my money. I don't build for what I need, I build for what I want.

That answer sounds defensive. I want one is a valid answer. I was just wondering if I missed something. thumb.gif
