Okay I will leave this thread.

3.

Special Forces
Armored Fury
Euro Force

2142 had just 1, Northern Strike.

DLC is nothing new. It's the new term for expansion packs since they're typically downloaded rather than purchased in physical form. Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction? Expansion pack; would have been labeled DLC in current times. The additions weren't enormous and could have easily been downloaded. Brood War? Please.

Someone is forgetting that BF2 actually had three expansion packs, one large one that gave new weapons to the base game (Special Forces), and two self contained "booster packs" (Armored Fury and Euro Force). Of course Armored Fury and Euro Force were not very popular, though I honestly loved Armored Fury maps (A10!!). It is disingenuous to paint them the bad guy NOW, when they've been doing this since BF2.

With broad strokes like this, you can easily say that BF2:SF, was a bunch of new maps with some reskinned weapons under new faction banners for $30...what a money grab.

Personally, I'm not sure I would want close quarters, but bring Armored Kill ON!

Yeah. I don't think so EA. I won't pay another $71.85 for this broken game.

It's fun; but it isn't that fun.

I dont know why I even opened this thread, I knew it was going to be full of whiners and guess what it is.

I for one think its great, the more content the better. As for the 'fracturing' argument, BS. Its not like with the new maps people wont ever go back to the original, I find myself playing the original maps more so than the Karkland ones...

It seems like these days companies just can't win, there will always be a bunch of whiners.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that is why we have such a great community.

I personally am not against DLC as long as it is actually worth the price of admission. I really liked BF2 SF (please bring back the grappling hook & zip line) as well as Armored Fury and Euro Forces.

I also agree that allot of people have B2K due to pre-order, I guess when these new expansion packs are released we will see the impact on the community.

Planetside 2 comes to mind, and it will be F2P. redface.gif
Although from what I take with the close counter DLC and the video showing one of the maps off, it looks like they modified parts of the single-player maps (That house looks very familiar.)
