ok so you admit you're just making this up at this point, since you can't actually provide proof that it's 4-way sli certified

embarrassment ... if anyone here should be embarrassed it should be you. I am just asking for information that you can not come up with... and neither can I but I am not making claims either.

I took the time and researched it and couldn't find anything saying that it does.... while Intel and Nvidia have said again and again that they do not support 4 way (the ones that do (Asrock Extreme9 z77 board) use a special extra chip that allows for it)

I am a facts person and don't believe anything someone with the name QuackPot comes up with without good information to back it up.... not a "oh just take my word for it" kinda person

sorry if you think I am not being nice... that is a personal problem and this isn't a personal manner. thumb.gif

again share the info when you get it... otherwise your just blowing smoke

FINALLY! thanks for the info... +rep thumb.gif

x8/x8/x8/x8 gross... if you really want to do 4way SLI go with X79 x16/x16/x8/x8 thumb.gif

Now I just wonder if they are using the same method that Asrock is doing to support 4way SLI

Oh no, only the equivalent of x16 PCI-E 2.0 bandwidth. Why don't I just kill myself now? doh.gif

Okay first of all here is the deal with SLI and CF.

The Sniper 3 is capable of 4-way CrossFireX, but only 3-Way SLI, as NIVIDA isn't certifying it on 8x/8x/8x/8x

It is hard to tell when NVIDIA will certify at 8x/8x/8x/8x b/c they can, but they don't do it, i think they are angry that no one is using NF200 anymore and only are using the new PCI-E 3.0 PLX bridge instead.

The board will run quad SLI, which is two dual GPU cards. However 4-way SLI is 4 single GPu cards.

you are forgetting is 8x/8x/8x/8x at a faster speed than before.
