Can I run a 4th accessory monitor while using Surround Vision?

Thread Starter
I've got two 3gb 580 GTX's powering 3 monitors in Surround Vision.... if I hook up a 4th monitor to the extra port, is it possible to use it as a "second" monitor, the first being the wide screen? If so, how do I ago about this in the settings?

I only see options to use all the monitors separate, or to span using Surround Vision, but not both.

Basically, I'm trying to hook up to my TV to display video streams etc, while maintaining my "main" screen for gaming or whatever.

Adding a 4th monitor to the 2nd GTX580's extra port does not work.

When two Nvidia graphics cards are in SLI for Surround, only 3 monitors are supported.

To have a 4th monitor/TV, you will need to add another graphics card which is to be installed in the bottom PCIEx16 (black) slot of your Asus P8Z68-V Pro.   At default setting (auto), this slot works at x1 only.  So, you will have to go into BIOS to set it to the max speed of x4 which should be sufficient for general usage.  And, this card does not have to be a powerful card.  Just a simple basic card should suffice.

One note:- I do not know which model is your GTX580 3GB but its intake fan might likely be blocked to a certain degree by a graphics card sitting in the black slot.  This means, its temperature will be higher than now.
