SUCCESS!

2.706 Ghz Fully Stable 1.648 V out of 1.8 OR 1.9 .

(246x11) HT 3x

I can keep pushing it... Startup temp is 36*C The idle temps are around 38*C , and 41-43*C on load. I'll test again.

HT FREQ 980.xx Mhz

Should I up voltage and keep going?

I'll get CPUZ ss soon!

Thanks!

Keep the full load @ or below 50c So, yes up the vcore another notch and if possible, BIOS dependant, up the chip set voltage a notch.
RAM may need some tweaking too, bigger divider, more voltage if it's safe dependant on your RAM and if necessary losten the timings if posible.

RAM is at 200MHZ

what is NB/SB voltage?

RAM Voltage is 2.7V OUT OF 2.9V

Im going to get trigger happy

Im still newb, if you're talking about the CAS latency and stuff inside DRAM settings, I have NO idea what to do

Since I'm heading for 2.8 Now, (Heat shouldn't be a issue, I'll make sure it idles at no higher than it is right now [41-43*C]), what is my target voltage now? once the fsb moves from 246 to 250 (what im trying), do i have to change mem freq from 200Mhz TO 250?

Are the remaining options [233, 216, 166, and 133] "Dividers"?

Current CPU Voltage
1.420v
1.450v
1.485v
1.500v
1.550v
1.585v
1.620v <I'm here
1.685v
1.650v
1.720v
1.750v
1.785v
1.800v
~I think it goes on like this until 1.9v

Current RAM Voltage
1.60v
1.70v<I'm here
1.80v
1.90v

wat kind of ram do you have? and running 1.6+ volts all the time to your proc isn't a good idea i don't think. try to keep it below, around 1.58.

how long did you run prime95 @ 2.7 ghz? when i was testing out my venice e6 3500+ it was a gay piece of crap. i could boot at 2.7 ghz, but no prime95 no matter what i tried. loosened timing, cranked up the vcore, but nothing.

also try this. instead of cranking your multiplier up, set it to around 9x and start cranking on your HTT. then set your HT to 3x ( you don't need 1000 MHz HT unless you have everything running full blast all at once )

Play w/ your timings and divider w/ your ram. what type of memory do you have? its always more fun to overclock your fsb and proc

Some kingston stuff. But when I have dividers on, it will go to the default voltage (1.6v). I'm planning to get it to 3Ghz tonight (273FSB). Why less that 1.6v? I'm going to monitor temps just to make sure things go ok.
I have Kingston ram. I think its valueram, but it overclocks fine (DDR500).

Please!!! HELP!!! OVERCLOCKING FEVER~~!!!!!

How do I loosen timings?

My venice is utter crap too. Along with my motherboard, it's the worst combination ever.

I get 2.4 on 1.4v - totally stable
2.54 (230 bus) @ 1.475v - totally stable - 46C load
2.66 (240 bus) @ 1.55v - totally stable - 51C load

But my RAM/Motherboard/stepping/cooling is crap so that's as far as I've tried as of yet...

I'll try 1.6v in a bit. Maybe 1.65v if I'm feeling enthusiastic.

you won't hit 3 ghz on a 3500. especially if you don't know what you are doing.
its wall is aorund 2700 on air. i've seen a few hit 2800.

i take it that you haven't ran prime 95 overnight on this overclock? its not honestly a stable overclock until you can run prime95 for 24 hours (it'll usually crash in the first 8, but i've had mine crash in the mid teens).

and as far as temps go, temp is actually only the 1/2 of it. its good to keep cool temps, but you're talking about running a proc that's supposed to be running at 1.4v on air. they're reasonably cheap though, so have fun frying it.

Ok... These are temps (UPDATED)

@2.7Ghz (2.706)

43*C Idle

52*C or 53*C load

Temps are getting scary...

@2.2Ghz

33*C Idle

43*C load

I used some generic stress tester from MajorGeeks.com .

Run Prime95 for a night and let us know what happends, but I would back off your vcore before you do that because you are already pushing your temp/voltage limits, and unless you dont care about your system, its too high already....and just because you can run at 2.7 dont mean its stable.. My system will boot up to 2.9GHZ and it will run most anything at 2.8, but it is not prime stable until it gets down to 2.65ghz....prime is MEAN..hehe
