Huh! I never heard about anything like that eek.gif I always ran my benches honestly and made sure to quote the settings I was using; I hope this doesn't mean my results are completely meaningless with Tessellation on. frown.gif

I think he may be referring to manually setting the tessellation mode on AMD cards through the CCC or third party tools like ATI tray Tools. You can override the default "AMD Optimized" and force it to a setting of 1-64 tessellation factor. By setting it to 1, you pretty much get a non tessellation score no matter which setting you choose in the Benchmark. Making it appear to be much faster than it really is. However, it does say the results cannot be verified and used in rankings when you do this. Maybe there is a way of changing it without the benchmark picking up on it though. I could be completely wrong as well, and he may be talking about something else tongue.gif

Is there a default settings that people use for benchmark comparison, like the P score in 3DMark11?

I set mine to max settings at 1920 x 1080 and cant remember my score now lol.

If you're comparing for your own records and to accurately compare your new vid card to your old, I highly doubt you're exploiting the score...

WHAT did you think about this at all before you wrote it? biggrin.gif
Why would you cheat yourself? So you could be mad at yourself for buying a new video card $$$ mad.gif Just saying LOL

IMHO I think ~LL~ is providing proof that yes, exploit still there. How do I know look at his previous run last month at 1680x1050 and 0 AA. ~LL~ can you say AWKWARD or LOL. Lets look at this. He increased his screen pixels by 11% and added 8xAA and his fps went up 27fps. In the real world his fps should have dropped. It was scores like this that there was something not on the up and up. That is how I found the exploit in the first place.
Yes there is a difference from 2.5 to 3.0 but NOT that MUCH. This software isn't worth downloading.
top 30 ~LL~

Here is how to cheat.

Press run. Don't press F9 just yet. Instead press the tessellation box.
Use the sliders to remove the tessellation. Press the tessellation box again, and get rid of the sliders. Now press F9. Run the benchmark as normal. Dont forget to press f-12 so you can upload a pic a here.
Now you have a killer score too.
Problem with is it is no longer "extreme tessellation" is it? No its !!NOT!!
In fact you have just run a bench with very little, or no tessellation. Yet that is not what the score shows is it?
No its not. It shows you have "extreme tessellation". You may not have even had it on at ALL.
People are taken advantage of this exploit in this thread. Now you can too, or can you?
Your choice now.
Hey look at my killer score. This is for illustrative purposes only. No need to put my killer score on the list.
It would appear to meet the requirements no matter how far fetched.
