Basically the name well I went onto some website that puts random words together and chose this so thats what its called k?
So what is this build?
My fathers birthday is in June and its quite a large birthday and I wanted to give him something he will use everyday but had that personal touch not just something I have bought for him.
Why a computer?
He is in desperate need for one as he is using an ancient Toshiba laptop, but not just that he uses his computer 24/7 for his work he usually is just e-mailing and reading BBC news.
Onwards and forwards
The rig is going to be as small as possible as space is one thing id like to keep to a minimum
The case is going to be made from some 6mm birch plywood with a nice cherry stain (to match his new desk)
I'm also going to be forming a curved front panel from 4 sheets of 1.5mm birch plywood
Why plywood? well lets face it, its cheap and easily worked and i can apply any colour stain or veneer to make it look better
The hardware:
CPU: AMD Athlon ii x4 (641)
Mother board: Asrock A75m-ITX
RAM: Gskill rip jaws 2x2gb
GPU: ASUS en8400gs Low profile
PSU: 250W Seasonic Flex
Case: well building my own
And ive started some paper mock ups to give me an idea of the size
excuse the phone picture quality
