Asus Sabertooth 990fx Ram voltage Bios settings for 16gb 4x4 ?

Ok so i got referred here by lsdmeasap on the crucial forum (also a member here) who has been helping me a lot with my new scratchbuild gaming pc ive been having trouble with

i think ive nearly seolved my issues but the problem now is when i use all my ram windows blue screens with errors like "PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA" or "SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION" and "DRIVER IQRL NOT LESS-OR-EQUAL"

Specs are as follows :
ASUS sabertooth 990fx motherboard
AMD fx-8150 3.6ghz 8-core cpu
4 x 4gb crucial ballistix sport DDR3 Dual channel ram
ATI Radeon 5450 1gb graphics card
WD Caviar Black 1tb HDD
Powercool 750w PSU
hp DVD A DH16ABLH SCSI CdRom Device DVD-RW

so yea ive already tested all 4 sticks induvidually with memtest+86 and they all had no errors and i dont get my bluescreen issues with only 1-2 sticks of ram

I havnt tried 3 sticks yet but as soon as i use all 4 it bluescreens randomly anything ranging from instantly when i log in to working for a few hours then bam bluescreen

lsdmeasap at crucial said hes pretty sure its to do with settings and ram voltages etc so anyone got any ideas about that and what settings i would need to change them to as he is unsure ?

thanks in advance biggrin.gif

Edit: also sorry for posting this twice i meant to post it here the first time feel free to delete the first one in the AMD BIOS section

Would anyone be willing to help my buddy out with this?

If not, could someone point us in the direction of a general 990FX or recent AMD overclocking guide, I'm an Intel user so I'm having a hard time trying to help Owen get his 16GB going stable at stock.

Thanks guys and gals! thumb.gif

You should also post Ram item code or link to its webpage. And update your rig details to show on your signature.

Normally you put settings manually, add a bit cpu-nb voltage and dram voltage, 1 or 2 notches up.

Thanks guys! I've already tried to suggest a few settings for him to try like what Catscratch mentioned, but I'm not sure what voltages he actually tried out. I'm fairly certain it the settings need adjusted, 1-3 modules is fine with auto but as soon as he tries to use 4 modules he gets errors and I know on Intel you often need to adjust voltages when using that many modules so I assume this is the issue.

Hopefully he'll update his signature shortly. Here's a link to his memory, two of these kits (16GB 1333Mhz C9 1.5v)

Ok thanks for the replys biggrin.gif and thanks lsdmeasap for bumping it a bit biggrin.gif

@damric ive tried that once before more early on and it did nothing frown.gif

@Catscratch the link lsdmeasap posted is my ram and ive now updated my rig details biggrin.gif
also ive already tried going 1 notch but the problem seemed to get worse!

So i shall try 2 and see if that does anything

the only thing is i was hesitant about putting it much further as the writing for the voltages changes colour like some kind of warning ? am i worrying about nothing or is it a warning? its like white then yellow then blue then purple (i think from memory)

I'll see if I can find a guide instead, I thought members here would have already linked us to one or offered more help on this.

OCN AMD members I haz disappoint mad.gifbiggrin.gif

Aha, thanks Sin0822, you are on it everywhere! thumb.gif

Check out this guide Sin wrote for BD overclocking, this should help a lot, just pay attention to what he says each setting does, and then how to adjust the ones we've already mentioned
