More specifically, it's new memory kits GSKill Ripjaws Z 4 × 4 GB clocked at no less than 2666 MHz, with some timing's modest but: 10-12-12-31. With enough faith in themselves, show GSkill kits simultaneously on three platforms from Intel X79 motherboards three different manufacturers: Asus, Biostar and Gigabyte.

Maybe it's your CPU, have you run 2666MHz with any other kit?

Your sig IVY cpu has a better chance of pushing 2666MHz on the ram than any SB-E chip. You have to be lucky to get up to 2400MHz with SB-E.

with my 3770k ivy booting with 2666 is very easy.

i was trying with a 3960x cpu and asus rampage iv extreme board and had no luck beyond 2400.
if i select 2401 the machine never boots. (maybe i need to learn more abt mem oc'ing)

2600+ on 2011 is extremly hit or miss.

Honestly, I wouldn't really try too much unless you are benching.
Even then if you have a C2 chip you run the risk of killing the IMC since they are weaker than the C1 chips.
