I won't argue with that.

When on a budget you need to cut costs whenever you can, ex:
Why getting 8gb ram @$45-$50 when 4gb @ $27 is plenty for gaming; HDD's are expensive, you have to go low then upgrade in the future, for the case go as cheap as you can while getting descent airflow and cable management if possible; NEVER CHEAP OUT ON THE PSU!, get a good quality one, remember that when a PSU goes out it can take everything with him

I just made a system like this for another post. Tweak as ya like!

~650. I'd upgrade the GPU to at least a 6870 (with not needing an optical drive, that should wipe out most the difference). 8GB of RAM is a must as Win7 and BF3 eat of 4GB on my system. The mobo is AM3+ so it should hopefully support the next AMD offering. I'd spend a little more on a higher PSU and add a "cheap" mechanical drive for storage.

Another point is that the OP wants future proofing, going the 1155 route can use a i3 now the later to a i5 or i7 for better performance, going z68 allows for Ivy Bridge upgrade on the future and if he spends a little more he can get a Z68 Gen3 board that will give you pci-e 3.0 when upgrading to Ivy.

being that your looking to future proff a build and wantting to be able to upgrade with minn parts Id recomend going the apu route as both Intel and AMD are working on that end of things where the cpu and the cpu are intergraded in one chip so just by getting a bigger apu your upgrading both the cpu and the gpu at the sametime and you can do a hybried crossfire with just 1 low end gpu makes it my recmodation something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 - aftermarket cpu cooler
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147144 - case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703035- psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441 - ssd load just os on this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840 - hhd 1 terbyte
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106001 - apu with this one you get a dvd as well in a combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131764 - mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231460 - ram rember you need more ram in this setup becase the gpu is intergraded with the cpu it has no ram itself
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200061 - case fans so with what the case comes with you will have a total of 7 120mm fans
out the door including shipping 704.89 with mail in rebates its 30.00 dollars less for 65.00 dollars you can add a gpu for crossfire a HD6570 and have a nice balanced rigt that will play todays games be very fast now all Ive recomended was top of the line with the best warrentys you can tweek this and make it cheeper

i would get the 2.9 OEM APU since the gpu is the same and teh overclocking potential is the same, there shouldnt be a need for a 1TB and a 64gb ssd, a 500gb hdd and a 120 ssd would probably do better, there is ram that is as good for $17 less, and might as well get a 6770 to CF with for only $75
