6950 crashing, RMA time?

Having some trouble with my 6950 lately, when I've got multiple video's up on youtube/work stuff or video running in the background my system will freeze. Doesn't create a BSOD or anything, which is reminiscent of the last time I had a card dying on me...

This has been happening more frequently, and starting to happen while gaming now too. ME3 actually has given me the most trouble, I've stopped playing about 3 hours in because I'll crash every 20 min at best.

Ran OCCT for ~30 min with error check on and got nothing, not a fan of furmark as I feel like it kills cards... need some help diagnosing this and what tools to use.

Maybe relevant, my 2500k has not been able to hold an overclock of even 4.4 @ 1.36V lately and have been running stock. Passes IBT with 25 passes easily enough though. Helpful? Idk

Try running the Heaven Benchmark. Put it on its loop setting, and just run it for a while. Does it crash and/or freeze during the benchmark?

How do you put it on loop? Do you mean open it and let it run cause I can't seem to find the loop option

Sorry, yeah, you just let it run. When it first came out, IIRC, you had to explicitly tell it to keep running. But they quickly changed that to always run because that's what people wanted.

Ok did that for 6 hours no crash. Also, the fan closest to the back of the case makes an awful grinding/rattling noise for about the first 5 min after boot and settles down but still grinds slightly... doubt this is actually CAUSING crashes but is annoying. On to ram testing I guess?

Interesting. The Heaven Benchmark is usually a pretty good all-around stress test.

For RAM testing, just start MemTest86+ and let it do its thing over night.

This definitely sounds like a RAM issue. Have you messed with your timings, frequency or voltage?
