ok guys I own the Crosshair V Formula and 2x xfx 7970 core editions what Im wanting to know is there a simple way to hotwire these.
I seen a mod on here somewhere showing a way to hotwire the cards from a connector on the mb. I'm wondering if this is possibly with my setup and if so could someone explain it or show me somewhere to find it?

Be more descriptive of what you are trying to do.

It seems you are you trying to power the cards from the motherboard? This will not work as the board is not meant to deliver that much power.

crossfire

no there is a way to do a hotwire mod I've seen people using a special mod to do this strait from the board I just can't find the thread now.

The Crosshair V supports crossfire. Put the cards in, install the crossfire bridge and it should be fine.

What exactly is the problem? Are you referring to this: http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1553 ?

That's a new thing on the rampage 4 extreme, you can vmod the gpu without variable resistors, just 1 wire to the mod point, 1 wire to the vmeasure & it's done, just plug them into the motherboard for voltage control & monitoring. Unfortunately the crosshair V doesn't have the feature.
