That NB though... Most phenom II's get to 3000 quite easily...

3d mark 11 crashed on the 3rd test, black screen had to hard reboot, seems its not stable at all.

Well the 3rd test is a graphics test so either your cpu is extremely unstable or it's most likely the gpu. Try prime95 for 15mins and if it does not crash clock your GPU down or increase voltage.

If it's the CPU, increase voltage. If it's 1.44 now try 1.48.

You put the ram at 1333 right?

Yep ram is 1333, Prime was stable for about 30 mins before i manually stopped it, so i removed OC for the GPU, put it back to stock and ran 3dmark11.... this is the pissy score i got.

Whats the graphics and physics individual scores. You can post a URL link to the results. The score isn't necessarily so bad, with a good gpu oc on a single 6970 you can't expect much more than 6000. The "Your score is low" is not something to care about because the average is thrown off by people with higly OC'ed systems that post alot of extra high scores, and with the GPU at stock you have no chance.

Try 950/1400 with 1.2v and work the OC up/voltage down in small increments from there if it's stable.

If you post the physics score I can compare it to mine to see if the CPU has similar performance.

Well guess what Ive done lol, i went into BIOS and set it to optimized defaults, no OC at all, and i got better score.

Well thats funny. tongue.gif

Something must have gone wrong during all those tweakings back and forth... Mine gets 6900 physics score at 4.1ghz just using multiplier at 1.48v and CPU/NB at 2800. I'd start again with fsb at 200 and just use multiplier as fsb overclocking can be less reliable. Your choice anyway since you've been working for this long without getting any proper results. tongue.gif

OK starting from scratch with a more conservative OC. tongue.gif

Disable AMD turbocore, CPU spread spectrum, Cool'n'Quiet
Set High loadline calibration

CPU ratio(multiplier): 19
CPU bus frequency(fsb): 200
Memory frequency: 1600
CPU/NB frequency: 2600
HT link speed: 2000

CPU voltage: 1.4
CPU/NB voltage: 1.3

Run prime95 for 30 min then run 3dmark11 to see if the score is messed up again.

Remember to monitor temps.

So this is 3.8ghz at 1.4v I usaually keep mine at 3.8/1.32v but not certain all chips will run at this. My CPU/NB is 2800/1.3v but you should try yours at 2600 first what with the problems with it earlier. If any OC will be stable this one should be with good margin. But hey some chips are just bad overclockers, some wont even reach 4ghz.
