Awesome, who has actually done this?
for one i dont know that Newegg is necessarily the best place to buy a Professional camera. don't get me wrong its where i got my D3000.
You may want to look and see if B&H has what you are looking for, as they usually have great bundle deals.
Got my D5100 + 55-200mm VR Lens for about the same as you can get the D5100 by itself elsewhere (the 55-200mm is a ~$200 lens btw) thumb.gif

It seems after some reading that your camera needs to be in the same range for this offer to work. Like a cruddy p&s wont be eligible to get into the tier for the nice dslrs.

Then again the internet is not the gospel. tongue.gif

Are you sure?

Overview - The Canon Loyalty Program provides the opportunity to trade in an existing Canon product for a refurbished Canon Digital SLR. There are Point and Shoot and Video options available, but this Thread will focus on the DSLR options. The program initially required the trade in product to be broken (easy to accomplish), but recently they have relaxed this restriction to simply being out of warranty. There have been reports of Film Cameras being accepted, but for now assume that you will need a broken (or out of warranty) Canon Digital camera (P&S or DSLR).

the t2i is without doubt a better camera vs. d3100. the d5100 is the one that compares to the t2i.

Awesome! So it seems the prices are not as great as was dictated. It is $448 plus tax for the t2i kit. And according to the lady I talked to any broken or malfuctioning camera. They pay for shipping of the camera to you and of the camera to them. thumb.gif booo and yahhh

What's your budget?

You can get by with the kit lens and the 18 megapixel sensor through cropping. However, you'll benefit with a dedicated macro lens if you're primarily shooting sleeving products. Moreover, assuming you choose Canon, macro lens prices are relatively affordable compared to Nikon.

Ideally, you can pick up a 100mm macro for about 450 used. Heck, if you don't need autofocus PM this guy.

I did choose the Canon t2i kit with the lens and I will be getting an add-on macro lens set.
