always always leave yourself some room for expansion later you never know tomorrow
you might add in another optical drive or coupla hds the 750 will cover you for awhile
close only counts in hand grenades and horsehoes oh and nukes.

Yea that was the one I was originally going to get. And I'm noticing any lower wattage psu(650w specifically) that have the 4 6 pin power connectors that I would need for tw 7870s are right around, or more expensive than this corsair 750w. This one is seeming to be my best bet.

Except it's really not "close" with a 600/650 watt PSU, and unless the OP adds at least 6 HDD's or something crazy to the build then it shouldn't make a difference in this case; same goes for another optical drive, it's silly.

Well 600-650w's with 4 6 pin connectors like I need for an eventual 7870 CF are in the same price range as that 750w. I could get a lower PSU with only 2 6 pin power connectors but I'm not sure if using molex adapters is good idea. I never really hear of people using htem anymore, thought they were "outdated".
