Epic Games has reportedly run its "Samaritan" Unreal Engine 3 graphics demonstration on a single NVIDIA Kepler card. The same tech demonstration last year required three of NVIDIA's high-end GTX580 cards to run at equivalent speed, showcasing the power of the company's latest graphics hardware.

Kepler technology was also utilized to power Unreal Engine 4, though details surrounding the private demonstration have been hushed under non-disclosure agreements.

This was confirmed by multiple websites...

It looks like this "Kepler Card" truly is unbeatable...

I mean sheeze 3 X 580s, that's a lot of performance, no doubt!

For now, this was put up for discussion about the "Probable Overwhelming / Unbeatable Performance"

I'm well aware of the other article, thanks...

So 3x the performance of a GTX 580 huh?Does that mean 3x the price as well tongue.gif ?
If this is true, they might put a top price card on it. Maybe 1k?

As is covered in the other thread, it's not really 3 times the performance. you don't get 100% scaling in SLI, especially with 3 or 4 cards.

Take a closer look. I haven't read the linked article but the one nVidia put on their Facebook page stated that the 3x580s used MSAA in the Samaritan demo. The Kepler card used FXAA.

Kepler can run the optmized samariten demo with FXAA (DX11 UT3)
this does NOT mean it is equal to 3 GTX580 or even 3 way SLI of 580s

Hmm thinking.gif Kepler will be interesting.
