[Newegg] EVGA GTX 480 015-P3-1480-KR [Limited email coupons] $209.99 - Page 11

should i be glad that i ordered this one instead of a 570?
Considering the price, i would say so. 480's are still monsters and @ 210$ bnib, that's just win.

I like how these cards are hitting this forum like a storm! I ordered mine yesterday and sold the card I bought and used for 2 weeks. I also like the tabs that are open.. OCN 480 sale thread looks like and the confirmation.

Some 570s can hit 900-950 core. (also you didn't overclock the memory enough that is where the 480 is faster than the 570 gtx). Regardless the 570 is much better on power and does not put out as much heat. It may not be faster but it is more efficient.

Not really, stock 480 = 725/1900 vs 570 @ 880/2000 and it still wont match the 480 out of the box, not to mention my 480 will hit 925/2200, and its just ugly from there. But the 570 is definitely more efficient and cooler, mine runs about 10* cooler all around vs my 480.

I was pretty sure nvidia made the 570 as pretty much a replacement for the 480 addressing the few problems it had.

I mean that's cool and all, unfortunately it means nothing to me. I'm just quoting from experience, not some website reviewer. Not to mention it shows the 570s load temp at 82C the same as a 480, which is obviously false, so there goes that reviews credibility. When my 570 came in the first thing I did was comparisons in benchmarks vs my 480, at stock clocks my 480 without a doubt was faster than the 570, and when the 570 was OC'd it definitely narrowed the gap, but not once did it surpass the 480 at stock clocks. Just my .02, take it as you will, its not a fabrication. Maybe my 570 sucks ? It is a refurb after all.

Well last time I checked, that wasn't a math problem, * also means degrees.

Assuming you get a good 570....

I'll stick with the 480s...better price for performance and beasts at overclocking

You can't assume a review is bunk because they're reporting high temps. Remember, every card has a different Vid, so even stock temps can differ drastically.
