If anybody needs waterblocks for their GTX 480, youra6 has them for super cheap. I would have bought them right away if I still had this video card.

Well, finally got both my 480s under water. $420 + $125 = 545$ for watercooled sli gtx 480. Not too shabby.

Those are good temps Rangerscott. Is that furmark / prime load? If yes, then that's great! What fans are you using and what is ambient temp?
My cards at stock are 65C load in furmark with a 24C ambient.

My 480's arrived!

Lightning fast, with a moderate oc to 800mhz and custom fanprofile they beat a OC'd 7970/680 by far and noise is barely noticable

Played 3 hours of BF3, 60FPS solid - 1080p ultra

Only issues are the higher power consumption and possible SLI issues

I'm able to OC to 800mhz easily as well, without any voltage raising. Granted, mine are under water, but I can't really tweak voltage with only a 750W powering an i7 920 and two 480s. My whole system freezes when I increase voltage by two much, which I assume is a PSU issue.

I just got to do some real gaming now that finals are over and although my two 480s rip up bf3 compared to my sli 460s, they do run extremely hot. I thought people were exaggerating about the temps but they aren't. My 460s at 850 core never broke 65C, with these (at 800 core, stock volts) after 2 hours of bf3 at 80% fan I actually hit 100C on the top card, which was really shocking to me. If I turn the fan up to 100% it stays in the high 80s but I was really hoping they'd run cooler than this. I dont game all that much, maybe 6-7 hours a week, so hopefully i'm not doing to much damage to them in the long run. If so, at least I have that 3 year warranty, biggrin.gif, no funds to water cool.

edited to add 480 oc
