Single GTX590 will give you lesser score than n2x 580s for obvious reasons.

Its true I think I would have been better off with 2 580's and might have seen a
small performance gain for the price of coughing up another 300 - 400 bucks but
would that price be worth the small percentage gain? 5 - 15 %? Probably not for me since
I get 60 - 140 FPS on Ultra for BF3 SC2 WoW etc. Read up on this article I found about the
performance gain of 580s vs 590.

I do plan on picking up the next generation cards when they show up
(GTX 780's most likely depending on how they will scale in 2 or 3 way SLI).
Of course I will plan on doing the custom WC setup on them. Other than that
I should be set as far as "future proofing" my rig. The current mobo will
support Ivy bridge from what I understand, unless I read wrong, I will have
the option to swap out my 2700k for the next gen Ivy Bridge cpu's.
The only thing I will miss out will be PCI 3.0 if I'm correct? Which from what I heard wont make
a drastic difference in real world applications, only in benching numbers right?

On another note, I picked up another Corsair Force GT SSD ( 180g ) and
a 3TB Seagate HDD from Newegg. They should arrive Wednesday and
I will post some pictures up after the clean OS install on my 90g force GT SSD.
The 180G SSD will be used strickly for programs and games,
and the 1TB for photos / music backup. As for the 3TB its primarily going
to be filled up with 1080p movies and such.

Will post more in the next few days. - vio

Drive's came in. Will be installing a clean OS on the SSD and throw all my movies on the 3TB.

Did have a question about the 3TB before I put it in. Do I need to do any changes to setting in Bios
or anything else to get the maximum storage capacity out of the drive in 64bit Win 7?

Any info is appreciated.

And his monitor. Hooked it up to my GTX 590. Both Asus monitors looks smexy.
Makes me want to buy my second monitor now! Love the multitasking real estate vs 1 monitor.
But if I do get one I'm going with another 27 ".

Cougar 120mm fans that came in from the RMA are very silent and no ticking compared to the first set I owned.
Glad they fixed em smile.gif

They are on High now, push pull on my H100, and they are quieter than the stock 2 when they were on Low. Yes they are good fans, I was also looking at the Corsair AF and SP fans... These should do fine until my next build. Also to note: These have PWM and are 4 pin ( which is awesome for the H100), the corsair series dont from what I understand and need fan controller I believe. But again, yes they are very quiet. Although they are my 3rd set because the first 2 had a few fans that made weird clicking noises at different speeds, which from what I know they fixed em so they should be good to buy now.
