Hi, I'm Ryan Houlberg.
I'm a junior in high school, and this year I was elected to be a candidate for Mr. Timberwolf, an event that's part fundraiser and part pageant. There are eight candidates total, and our total goal is $10,000. It's hard to fundraise at school because high school students tend to hang on to their money, so I figured I would post here to see if anybody is interested.
Now on to the important stuff. The organization that we're raising money for this year is the CCA. It's a great charity that uses its money to help out children with cancer in a special way. Instead of simple treatment, the CCA focuses on making each cancer patient feel at home and safe. They have musicians that play music for their patients, and have volunteers who donate enormous amounts of their time to hanging out with these patients and taking care of them. It's truly a great charity, and they keep their overhead costs low, meaning more money can go to helping the kids.
The link to donate is here
If you don't have anything to donate, feel free to tell any friends about this! Any help is welcome.
Also, I'm fairly sure you should be getting a tax write-off if you donate enough money, so if it isn't allowing you to do that through the link, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
