Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 won't post with spread spectrum disabled.

Have had this board a while now. When I first got it it took more tinkering than it should've to find a stable 4.5 overclock. I can't disable spread spectrum. It will not post. No big deal other than the 99.8 base clock. Have been stable for months now with those settings. I've tried different things and played around in the bios quite a bit. Haven't found any way or combination of settings that would post with it disabled. I can't change the base clock either but I don't know if it's normal or not without disabling spread spectrum but it will not post. Haven't read of someone having this exact issue and from what I can tell a lot of people encourage to disable it. Not disappointed with the board. Just curious if something's wrong or if I'm being held back. Contemplating ivy. Anyone know what's up?

I have the same issue with my E3G3. Reset the CMOS to default settings and disable spread spectrum without changing anything else, reboot then you should be able to set your overclock.

You are the man. It worked. As much as I've played with it I can't believe I didn't do that even accidentally. Think my settings need tweaked or does that have much effect? Thanks again. Good call!!!
