Not worth the price difference. Not a viable source of comparison either, list more specs such as panel type/manf.

It USED to be a big difference, but it just isnt anymore. They say 2 ms, but depending on way they measure it.

It could be Gray to Gray timings? But even that doesn't matter but i believe most companies rate their monitors on Gray to Gray.
Small wonder.

From the same company? Probably. It's apples to oranges when you move cross brand, because the measuring methods aren't fully standardized.

2ms panels are just overvolted panels anyway (AKA overdrive, RTC). This distorts colors during quick movements (which you don't really notice because of the changing image) in order to achieve the 2ms response time. I had a panel where you could turn overdrive on and off, and if you looked very closely at the edges of bright objects when moving the mouse in a game, you could see a slight halo due to the overvolting.

If you play FPS games regularly, it's probably worth it to get the 2ms panel though.

I went ahead an got a 2ms monitor back when.
I have had chance to compare it with a 5ms screen since then.
I'd say you really wouldn't notice a difference ever otherwise.

Even when directly comparing them,
what I saw as the difference was so minute,
that I honestly say there's no justification in extra cost..

My test involved using a music visualization.
The 2ms did seem more in-sync with the music (ever so slightly).

I'll admit-- not really the most conclusive of tests,
but I certainly couldn't notice a difference otherwise.

no difference what so ever and both don't compare to 120hz screens for gaming which i'd assume you were using it for asking this question

That would be a really primitive test for input lag, not response time. The two aren't the one and the same.

@OP: The advertised response time is of little use when you want an idea of how the thing will perform. That's why all good monitor reviews have some sort of testing for ghosting. wink.gif No need to stress over it. It'll be fine in any case.
