Ok I've had some issues with this thing....

The first time the only settings I changed were the exact ones the OP mentioned. The game launched fine and I was able to play so no problems there. When I saved the game and exited though my PC blue screened. Not really sure it was this program though.

After that comes the really weird part. I went back in and changed lensflare to false as it's always annoyed me how the lens flares cover everything in the Mass Effect games.

When I did this I was on the 3rd level of the Normandy, the crew quarters level..

Well to my astonishment this would NOT let me access the elevator. I'm not sure exactly why but I was stuck on the crew quarters level. I exited the game, turned lens flare back on and all the sudden I could access the elevator again.

Now all of this is weird and everything seems to be working fine now by only changing what the OP suggested so you should all be fine.

I would be interested to see if someone else could try what I did and seeing if it would lock them out of the elevator.

You need to add a last bit of essence, i.e. max out everything in the nvidia control panel, it helps to eliminate jagged edges to a great extent,
but I really am happy, atleast my settings proved useful to someone, its best to share resources since we are up against the reapers tongue.gif

I use SLI 64x CSAA, this creates a shepard without any jagged edges at all, even the turians, the krogans and salarians can look better provided they have better default textures, same goes for the guns.

I still am finding settings to tweak, my main aim is to find a parameter for war assets so that everyone can get a good ending, I hope I don't run out of time on it otherwise I'll be beaten by someone to it tongue.gif

p.s. this game can run on dx10 if it has a shader 4.0 cache, it does have a 3.0 cache file, probably a dx11 or dx10 upgrade might be released later, they most certainly should

I just saw your setup, its an amd setup so I think you could enable the mlaa line and max it out from your control panel, though that is for graphics, regarding this glitch I am sorry I haven't experienced it. I modded the file during the geth dreadnought, finished the game, and have played it again up till thessia again. No glitches on my side.

- sorry I didn't read that you disabled lens flares, I'll try it out as soon as I finish thessia. This seems interesting though, I never disabled lens flares though it did annoy me.

No its not working, by disabling lens flares you disable the interface of accessing anything, I am on the second level of the normandy, with lens flares false I cannot access the galaxy map, neither access the elevator, though I can talk to people.
I think there is another way to work around it, first by ingame settings try disabling cinematic lights, and then disable lens flares, I'll try this out as well since this setting seems to work in conjunction with something else. the line below it "maxcharactercinematiclightingpasses" if its turned to 0 that is also not helping.

Thanks for looking into that for me man, I was worried maybe it was something screwy with my setup.

You know I bet it's why Bioware never toned down the lens flare to start with as it must just be something to do with the engine itself.

There might be another way, but with so much anime on my hard drive after my exams I can't make any more discoveries than I already have :|

though there is a last one for anyone who is curious, loves to experiment and has 1gb+ memory.

These are some textures settings which WORK from mass effect 1, I found this from a website I can't recall so no credit to me. To experiement I guess you could up the shadow res max to 8192, texture size to 8192 and double the values in the above parameters. Integrating this can be hard, but I might do it later so see how well it looks, but I'm limited by 1gb memory.

I'm confused they work from Mass Effect 1?

Are these the settings we just edit in the program you lead us to down load for Mass Effect 3?

you aren't supposed to blindly paste it, you are supposed to find a certain line and then edit it to the above values, it works from mass effect 1 yeah because mass effect 1 looked crappy, besides increasing this might increase the richness of the environment, though I haven't yet integrated it.

Easy, I know. I edited the lines in the colsend (spelling) and alot of black textures and broken up textures with black squares. However some character clothing looked slightly better such as the turian primarch. Gonna have to mess around with the individual settings for a bit
