mass effect 3 tweaking - Page 4

Thread Starter
I got those when I increased the texture density from 2.5 to 5.5, well I believe there is a memory limit since I've never seen the game surpass 768mb gpu memory consumption. I think there are some parameters which allocate memory which need to messed with as well, we can very well make use of the additional memory.

was wondering if Mass Effect 3 is a 3rd person shooter game only, or is there somehow able to turn it into a first person shooter. Really, really want to play this game, but detest third person shooter.

Old thread, but I just decided on getting ME3 now that it's had a chance to sink in... and I'm definitely feeling a bit wanting for more graphical quality for sure a new and hyped game. The standard Shephard armor/uniform just look very dated. Detailed, but low res. I'll be upping everything and using some of the tweaks here. Thanks a ton for the pointers OP.

smoothframerate - False
And search for vsync and turn it to False

Well I copied your edits here and the game does look quite a bit better across the board. It's stressing my poor GTX460 compared to your SLI 560s... but it's playable. I get slowdown during cutscenes and such, but nothing unplayable and combat is the same. Thanks a ton!

Old thread but I just decided to finally get around to playing this game.

Now I have quite a few texture mods and while trying to use Texmod, I get an error and a crash when trying to load all of them. The error is this. "This application has caused runtime to close in an unusual way"

When I watch (performance task manager) the painfully long loading processes when using Texmod, it always seems to crash out at about 3.6GB. I tried using LAA but it doesn't help with this. My google skills are not overly strong but I have been looking for a fix for a few days now and I have found nothing. I have 12 GB ram so it isn't that. Anyone have any ideas? I should add that I can load about half of the texture mods I have and the game will start, but there seems to be a ceiling of sorts. I've read that some are using 60+ mods successfully. I don't even have that many, so Im stumped.

Thanks OP for the config tweaks!

Texture mods are here if anyone is interested. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/9735492/1
