i have a gigabyte 6850 OC,thinking about upgrading to this one

what do you think? is it worth upgrading to this?

ya,you should get a noticable improvement in games with the 570,

also,

just so you can see the differance's between the two.

yeah i think that it should be better, but i'm confused about the specs, like the core speed, memory speed, and the unified shader, the 6850 has higher numbers. i don't get it?

The GTX 570 is a much better Graphics card than the 6850. The GTX 570 and HD 6970 have almost identical performance. So I'd say either upgrade to a GTX 570, or HD 6970. OR wait for Keplar to come out and the GTX 570/580 prices should drop a bit.

Core speed and such cannot be compared as they're two different architectures from two different manufacturers.

570 is the better card.

i was also looking for 69xx at newegg but it seems that everything is out of stock

I'd go with the MSI. It has 5 heat pipes, 2 fans so it will overclock well, and it looks really good and isn't too big like the Asus one.

what about 480GTX Sli(500$) outperforms 7970/580/ and near 6990 or single 480GTX(250$) Performs like 570 GTX

or 460GTX 2WIN on tiger direct(240$) performs like 580 GTX
