i am pretty sure EVGA 1155 does have UEFI? no? it just looks like normal BIOS tho.

the sleep thing is an issue with the platform itself
they released new bioses recently to address the issue

The one thing i hated about my x58 assasin was the killer nic, too many issues and killer puts out updates way too slow. They are also only windows compatible :(

Did this. I got tired of waiting for Z77 with 4-way sli. I got my board at a great deal though the cpu was a bit expensive. That's really the downside with X79, the entry level cpu is as expensive as the top end 1155 cpu(s).

Same. I couldn't wait any longer either. I am disappointed that I will miss out on the 100 % overclock of ivy, but maybe I will pick up one for a home server. The pci-e lanes of the x79 is really the only way to go 4-way without having a secondary lane controller. This board looks way better than the G1 Assassin 2 though. Hopefully Gigabyte won't have serious problems this time around with their boards.
