No changes. Sin did some digging with the Gigabyte folks and found out nVIdia now allows 4-way SLI with a single PLX PCI-E 3.0 chip and quad-8x configuration.

I honestly don't see the point of going beyond 2 with z77.
It's not just about cash. The limit on 1155 used to always be limited PCI-E bandwidth but that is almost a non-issue now with PCI-E 3.0. IB will run games faster clock for clock, overclock higher, games don't use more than 4-cores and it will use less power; all while being cheaper. I don't see a strong case for SB-E with X79 for multi-GPU gaming when a 3770K and Z77 bring so much to the table.

Not on multi-display setups. I can run some games on my 3x monitor setup that would bring 4x Kepler or 4x 7970's to their knees and the CPU would be fine. But for a single screen, yes 4x top of the line GPU would be a bit much and the CPU would most likely be the limiting factor.
