Mass Effect 3 or Battlefield 3? - Page 4

Mass Effect offers a more compelling single player experience and a surprisingly enjoyable Gears of War-style multiplayer. BF3 offers a short, mildly interesting single player and an expansive multiplayer... Personally, I'd opt for Mass Effect. Then again, I've been a huge fan of the series predating the initial game's release. Also, you won't be maxing BF3 @ 1080p with a single HD6950 wink.gif

How about both? I love them... BF3 for when friends are also online and ME3 for when they are not...

Depends on what you like to play. I enjoy multiplayer games. I don't see much point in single player games since you can't show off your achievements to anyone unless you bring someone over to your house to show them. But at the same time, your comparing a RPG vs a FPS. To completely different genres. You may as well be comparing a WoW to Super Mario World.

Mass Effect 3 by far. No battlelog.
2 totally different gameplay styles ? How can you really compare them? ME3 is an Action/RPG , BF3 is a FPS shooter....

Do you want story or do you want tactics and teamplay.

If you want single player and multiplayer maybe go for ME3,
if you don't care about single player and want more of the action/fps get BF3...

Damn doh.gif

Any idea what kinda performance I should expect? I might have to jump on a 7970 sooner than I wanted to...

EDIT: Oh, and to clarify, I'm looking for good multiplayer experience. I could care less about single player (I've got Skyrim for that wink.gif)

Probably play on High settings, which is fine, for a smooth experience. But all that MSAA and Ultra would need a 6970 min.

I would go with ME3 bro. I have had BF3 and got so bored with it. There is only so many times you can play BF3 imho as so redundant. MP is not that but but gets old with how big the maps are and if you don't play all the time with friends, totally sucks as no one plays together. I'm sure there will be many here that play together but in my experience it's been poor with that game. My vote would be for ME3
