Looking to OC gigabyte p67x-ud3-b3 and i5 2500k

Basically what the title says. I'm having a few issues with getting a stable OC on this CPU. So i was wondering if there is a guide or something i could use. I really dont wanna overclock that much maybe 3.6-3.8ghz if its decent temps. Help?

There's no point to overclock it to 3.6 or 3.8 because of the turbo boost. It automatically kicks in when you play a game or something that requires cpu usage.

Come back when you want 4.0ghz + tongue.gif

But if you really want to, here's a guide for the UD7. I'm sure it's the same settings on your motherboard. Just PLEASE, if you're going to overclock, do a good overclock. Nothing like 3.6ghz. You have a 2500k, which can do 4.2ghz + EASY. Just make sure you have an aftermarket cpu cooler.

Before you even begin to overclock, get an aftermarket cpu cooler. It'll be hot at an overclock at 3.6ghz. That's your first step.

Step 1 - get an aftermarket cpu cooler (Hyper 212, H60, H70, H80, H100, NHD14, etc)

Step 2 - Read that guide

Step 3 - Test for stability

Step 4 - Have fun
