I just read about half that first page and had to stop.
They have zero idea what they are talking about, I would be amazed if any of them have ever seen BF3 above medium. I think i'll copy some of my favorites:
It'l ruin your wallet, because you'll have hardware sitting in your build that will never get used.
Woah woah hold on. Are you planning on extending a game across three screens? Do you realize the FoV warping your poor little eyeballs will experience? I guarantee you if you're still playing after 20 minutes without a headache you'll get tired of having to move your head across three screens. And you for sure don't need that power of a card to do simple desktop extending, (ie. having 2 screens a desktop and one a game).
The fact that you're even considering crossfire with that level of graphics card for gaming proves how insane you are. It's your funeral.
Unless you're doing heavy CAD/workstation work I strongly suggest you do not buy that graphics card. No current, and I see no future game within the next few years using that type of hardware. And future proofling like that doesn't work with the way GPU's are dropping right now.
Every last one is from Zpoon. He goes on my special list of people to tell other people avoid. Enjoy your 7950, and eyefinity when you get it.
EDIT: I just realized, that other forum is an RS forum... Now it makes more sense.
This is a forum of tech geeks who as a community know how to get the very best out of anything computer related, and members help other people build/upgrade other computers on a day-to-day basis. If there is anywhere in the world I would trust to get a straight answer on a GPU, it would be here. We've got this OCD type thing about numbers to back our claims too.
I'm thinking that a Runescape community isn't the same way.
For things tech-related I would stick to tech forums, like OCN, Overclockers.uk, tom's, etc.Edited by KyadCK - 3/10/12 at 3:31pm
