Acer 7750G-6662 Wont POST After RAM Upgrade or Stock RAM

Thread Starter
So I am at a loss of ideas for this one.

I swapped out my RAM in my Acer 7750G-6662 laptop. Came stock with 2x 2gb Kingston DDR3-1333, I swapped it out for 2x 8gb Corsair DDR3-1333. Did the swap wearing my ESD stuff. Turned it on, fans kick on, LED kicks on saying its on, but it wont post. Just sits at a blank screen, even the screen doesnt look illuminated. I quadruple checked that the memory was seated properly. So then I swapped the stock memory back in, still wont post.

Any ideas? Should I try removing the CMOS Battery?

Help!

pull the laptop battery and hold the power button for ~ 10 seconds, put the battery back in and see if it turns on

Just tried it, with the power supply unplugged as well. Didn't work. Should the power supply have been plugged in?

I know you have said you've checked the seating of the RAM but could you post a picture of that area? Have you tried running a single stick?

no you are trying to dissipate the power from the caps etc. Sometimes allows you not have to pull the CMOS battery

Heres a picture with the Corsair 16GB sticks in place. I popped out the CMOS battery, still no luck.

they don't look like they are seated all the way in to me

lucky that your CMOS battery is right there, some of the laptops I've had to pull them on were under all sorts of components
