Hello all, Iv been testing out the XFX 7970 Core Edition. I have successfully overclocked to 1220/1600 @ 1.274v to be stable. I can go a bit higher on the memory but i don't see a huge difference when benchmarking with Heaven. I am watercooled so heat isn't an issue. I just feel like I should be able to get more out of the core and in not sure why i cant achieve this. I tried 1260/1375 @ 1.3v and it works for a little bit and crashes. Iv tested that core of 1260 with 1.28v and once you hit 1.27v it crashes. ( just lowered the memory clock to just solely test the core clock). I'm looking for some advice to see if anyone out there has this card and has OC'ed the core to 1300mhz that's the goal I'm trying to shoot for. I'm not sure if flashing the bios will solve my issue or not or if it will be a waste of time? Of if Im not just configured right to achieve that goal. All suggestions and comments are welcome. Just some other random info. ASIC Quality 68.5%. Using Heaven 2.5 testing on settings "DX11, Shader- high, Tessellation- Extreme, 16x, 8x, Fullscreen, Res- 1600/900". MSI AB 2.2.0 Beta 14 and from what AB reads out for my drivers "version 7.14.10.0894, Catalyst 12.3)
