You can get the FD lenses with a EF to FD mount ring for your camera so you can put the older lenses on there

Just because its built for film cameras does not exclude it from the list of choices...
Why do you need the 1.8 so badly?
would honestly save up for the 1.4 bhphoto has them for like 300 bucks which is not bad considering..

bro i'm using the 1.8 canon II.. my bro in law has the 1.4.. u can tell the difference in quality if its blown up but from far away distance all the same to me.. if u don't got money get the 1.8..... thumb.gif

All depends on which camera you are using and he is using. There is a big difference between the two lenses on the same camera.

Here's an example of the difference. I know there's a better article out there somewhere that explains it better, but can't find it at the moment.

The fact that its tighter on a crop sensor body doesn't make it a bad lens, for $100 its actually quite good.
sure the build quality isn't the best for again, the price point makes this lens.

you can buy one brand new for $120, or used for $80-100.

check your local classified sites, like craigslist, or kijiji, or just buy it from your local camera shop.
