Bsod

Now after messing around with drivers, my pc constantly Bsod, i installed 12.2 over 12.1 just with 12.1 installed i was still getting them, whats cauaing this?


Edit: also noted, i was trying to get higher overclocks today and usually heaven benchmark will just crash to desktop with an error and ill adjust clocks and do it again, now it crashes i see the desktop for a split second and it bsod

First,uninstall your video card drivers.Usually,installing driver over driver results in errors,crashes and sometimes bsods.

Do a fresh install of your video card drivers.Try 12.2 first.it could be that 12.1 was buggy.

IF worst comes to worst, and absolutely nothing seems to fix it, I'd re-install windows.

The reason i had to install over 12.1 was because 12.2 was missing files

Just did it twice, once while on the desktop and then it did it while it was checking the hard disk for errors before i got to the welcome screen, whats causing this?

Stock your clocks (personal preference) then follow this guide: OCN Link

If you are missing files or the uninstall through Cata Install Manager doesnt work, then boot to safe mode and follow the guide from there. Worked for me. I had a issue with the first time I moved to 12.2, but it has since been corrected.

Edit: read your above post. What is your BSOD error numbers?

Ill follow the guide, it just did it again and didnt get the numbers i will next time around

Well it did it again, the number was a bunch of 0's then 124 at the end

I use ATIman Uninstaller http://www.overclock.net/t/1130717/new-version-uninstaller-by-atiman/10#post_16414439 just now, rebooted, downloaded 12.2 (12.3) from AMD and installed biggrin.gif

Just did the manual file swap into 12.2 for overclcoking, the 124 bsod was apparently because of my cpu overclock, i think i got it fixed smile.gif
