[FUD]Medfield phone outpaces Galaxy Nexus - Page 2

I don't care for benchmarks that act as if the difference between a dual core and quad core are so little.

It used to be I really didn't care for auto updating cause when it would install an app it would cause lag, dual core lessened it. Then there's the Prime, its practically non existent.

Not even gonna bother with the iPad's 2/4x faster GPU crap, call me when you figure out how to stop aliasing in images and text while you are scrolling.

what about GPU and battery?

one of the biggest advantage of nexus is the ICS, I suspect the speed you noticed came from that? were you using stock rom for the S2?

cuz I mean if you compare the 2 phones in terms of hardware, how much advantage does the nexus really have? are there any at all?

I don't know man, if you would just take a look at what they've already announced so far for the S3, you could immediately tell that they didnt try their best in making nexus

This. ICS has got all the hardware acceleration to it as well. Sometime very soon (Samsung promised Q1 2012), the S2 will have ICS. Try it then, then try the Nexus. My money is on the S2.

I've got the AT&T S2, and we will probably see it very soon as well =)

Slightly more on-topic: I'm loving all the players in the mobile CPU market. I wasn't old enough to see the CPU race up until the Core2Duo's -ish area to current. This has a few more players now wink.gif

Its not their first. Its their second. The first was Moorestown, and I can only think of one phone that it was put in, and that phone was hot, slow and in general bad.
