What type of bag for netbook?

I got my x130e and put in an M4 and I am absolutely in LOVE with it. The keyboard is fantastic, though I think the touchpad could be better. However, the thing is great looking, great feeling, and incredibly speedy!

Nonetheless, I got it for a reason. I will be taking the train to and from work each day for about an hour each way. Once I get off the train I have a 10 minute walk through Boston so I would like some type of carrying case for my little netbook and possibly other documents as well - however I will leave it at the netbook for now since I have no other documents...yet!

I was wondering what kind of carrying case to get and what brands are good. I'm not into that Gucci crap either. wink.gif

I've seen people walking around with those giant handbag suitcase things and that doesn't seem like it would work in this situation. I saw someone with a shoulder bag and it seemed intriguing but do they make them for netbooks? Thoughts?

For me a Backpack with a Laptop compartment is more than adequate, I have tried shoulder bags in the past and they are ok if you prefer them types of bags over Backpacks. (Had to stop using my Shoulder/Messenger bags due to shoulder problems I.e. Carried too much weight on my left shoulder far too long).
The only brand of bags I will really buy are from Targus, they tend to be a bit expensive but are very well made for the price.

That's just my thoughts anyhow.

I use the HP 12.1" Mini Messenger Case to carry around my stuff. However I don't put a netbook in there like it is built for I use it to carry around my ps vita and digital camera. But it has plenty of room to be able to put your netbook in it plus the charger and other stuff. Seems pretty well built too like if you put quite abit of stuff in it the strap wouldn't break.

Thanks. I'm still looking - I appreciate you throwing out the Targus brand name. I'll see if there is anything that suits me in that range.

I don't think I'll go for a backpack simply because I'll have work clothes on and sometimes that consists of big bulky jackets so I'm not sure I would be able to wear it all the time. I think I have settled on a shoulder bag since it's easily accessible, but I didn't know if there was a better competitor out there. smile.gif

I'll keep looking. Feel free to throw more brand names out there. I would prefer leather if it helps at all.
