I agree though, about being annoyed with this generation of cards.

So if you people are stilling judging AMD by their pricing of their cards, then you all can probably say that their prices won't change even after Nvidia releases their cards, or even wait a couple more months down the road for possible price competition?

And it's confirmed Nvidia is making their cards start with 6 and not a 7. Why doesn't anyone say anything!?!?!?

Actually AMD is now playing Nvidias pricing game...You can't expect them to be a charity for Cheap GPUs forever....Nvidia just upped on the pricing garbage, cause now both are playing the "how much can I get for this(insert GPU here) video card" game

Wow look at all the people getting hung up over the price hikes...

Its a new, costly, low yield process...inevitably it was going to be priced higher at launch.

If you want a good deal, just look at the price*performance curve, get the best one...I think that is either a 6850 or 7870 at this point, 7870 if you must have the latest gen.

I think most are not only upset at prices...but the fact that Nvidia is holding off what ORIGINALLY to be the GTX680 and decided to make that the780 instead....*shrugs*....they want their monster cards now...I will admit it is a smart move for nvidia...they don't have to rush the R&D for the archtechtual tweak for the next series....

People moan and complain that Nvidia doesnt release their flagship new gen card fast enough, then turn around and whine and complain that the card which they are releasing ASAP is what they originally intended to be the 670, but is fast enough to be a 680. Would you prefer FURTHER delay to allow for them to come out with a card which will just stomp the tahiti? Thats just plain dumb on Nvidia's side for them to do that, and these voracious consumers need to comb their damned beards!

Unless Kepler sucks really badly, then maybe I'll go re-buy some 570's haha. The thing about the 12th being an NDA drop was originated from Charlie FUD-curate ("semi-accurate"), maybe nvidia planted info for him to find, maybe not *shrug*.

Im sure a rabid Nvidia fanboy like yourself would self-combust before buying anything AMD proof.gif

"The rumour has it that Nvidia planned to launch it as the GTX 670 Ti but the GPU performed just a bit better than expected "

Hahahaha, no. They realized a "true" GTX680, aka GK110, wouldn't be out for several more months and decided to call their midrange part their high end part name. Then when GK110 comes out this summer it will be a the "GTX 780", I mean Nvidia has to keep up with AMD's generational leaps somehow, right?

It's pretty pathetic, that I start to have dreams, of holding the gk110 in my hands tongue.gif
