[DT] U.S. Military Demonstrates "Active Denial System" Non-Lethal Weapon - Page 2

CHEER!a new non lethal way to get cancer that cant be known yet but will be known in 25 year!(sarcasm)military naver learn from the past!
it was bad when it was from the nuclear weapon it is still bad even without the nuclear part!

i bet they would say :oh but its non-lethal!people will still have unforseen lethal side effect in the long term, they always do!human body isnt made for this never was!you want to control people?you cant!gees!

everybody on the planet is bipolar ,be it people from izrael ,china, or usa!
when you find out how to remove the bipolar from human then we can all begin to have a nice solution
the closest to it is china.yet the military there screw everything up!even in usa or canada the system would be perfect if there wasnt a presidential veto prime minister veto side stepping all effeort!

so i am sorry but this is another invention designed for one single purpose .kill people because there are too many human on earth!

It is mobile. It's just a microwave dish (of some sorts) strapped on a vehicle.

Reminds me of the movie "Hulk 2" where they put the microwave on the Hulk, he is unable to move forward...

Nevertheless, I'm shocked they got this approved for warfare...

Seems like an insanely unfair advantage...

Make all the enemies run around like chickens with their heads cut off, lob Mortars, win...

Not even competitive at all...

At least the soldiers would live, if the enemy decides to "Secure" the defeated soldiers...

If not, well, it's not even going to be a fight...

This should never be used on Civilians, if and when that gets approved, it will be a very bad thing...

Funny how on this forum being critical of a new scientific thing is regarded as "hater", "anti-technology" etc. I've heard about that a while ago, they want to use it for crowd dispersion. We're apparently pulling out of the war so these things are probably gonna be used at home when people start demonstrating/rioting. It's now official, cell phones increase the risk of cancer. This thing is like stepping into a microwave, how is it safe? Just like how they were saying the airport body scanners were safe and then it was proven they were not and major airports started shutting them down.

Microwaves that cook food are different than the microwaves used in this "weapon". You won't get cancer from being from being in front of this for 30 seconds. Cell phones do not officially cause cancer...

Yeah, there is a good chance that this will cause permanent neurological damage in some people.

you need to do your homework and find out how this thing works before you make a comment like that bro,

I'd take this over tear gas and rubber bullets though. Rubber bullets if not used according to guidelines can severely wound people. Tear gas is deadly or can cause severe effects such as blindness, acute respiratory failure etc. Compared to that, a burning sensation which only penetrates the first ~6 microns of skin (enough to reach the pain receptors) with hopefully no long term effects is a lot better imo.

Just talked to someone who dealt with the creators of this.

Few proven facts
1) Pain stops the instant the switch is turned off. No lingering effects in ANY of the tests
2) This has been shot down for military use being declared tortured.
3) The device is perfectly safe and is QUITE massive.
