A Couple of Aquaero 5 Questions

Thread Starter
I am attempting to setup my Aquaero5 for the first time, specifically the alarms. I will be using the Relay wired into the power button for shutting down the system. What is the default state of the Relay, meaning on or off. I need to know which action to choose when an alarm is received, obviously the opposite of the default.

Also, I am using the Aqua Computer software, I think something … service, that collects the temps form a third party software and allows you to use the temps in the Aquaero Suite software as “Software Sensors” For the third party app I am using Hardware Monitor. I also have the Aquaero app starting automatically from the startup group. However, it does not retain the four items I choose to monitor during restarts. Am I missing something here? I can’t wait until they incorporate this into the Aquaero Suite.

Thanks,
John

Fellow Aquaero 5 user here. I just got mine as well so I can't really help with the relay part. For the Software Sensor tool, have you tried with Speedfan or Aida 64? Also, do you have OHM and the Sensor tool running at startup? I THINK, you might need all three programs, (OHM, ACSST, Aquasuite) to autorun at startup for it to work. I haven't tried it yet but I asked this same question on another forum and someone got theirs to work. I'm currently having the same issue though. Kind of a pain especially since there's so little documentation.

If you read this review from Legit Reviews on page 6 they have the links for the modified version of open hardware and the aqua system tool to link to it with a description. Basically you have to have this open hardware thing run at startup AND the Aquaero system agent run as well for it to feed into the aquasuite 2012 software. You then have to go into your aquasuite 2012 software and select software sensor and enable 1 through 4 which corresponds to the four values you select in the system software. From then on the Aquasuite 2012 will read things like your CPU and GPU.

Pain to setup but once you set it, it works perfectly. Wish Aquasuite would just pull in system information directly.

I don't have the relays so I cannot really help you there but you could PM shoggy (Sven) who is the owner and very helpful!

woof.

Yeah..aoftware sensor tool would need to be placed in your startup folder so it is always running. I had it working with speedfan, but it does need to be running at all times from what I gathered.

Yeah, I got the sensor app working and holding my setting on reboot. Not sure how, but it works. I already had it in the startup group, along with Hardware Monitor and I also had Aquasuite 2012 there. Not sure what changed but it now works. Now its on to setting up a few curves. Should be a fun evening of testing.

Thanks,
John

i'm about to install aquaero lt and i'd like to hear from people already using it:

do you think is better to set up your fans on virtual sensor like delta "water temp-ambient temp" or on imported cpu gpu temps?

Does anyone have a copy of the special Aquacomputer Open Hardware Monitor program? The download link is apparently dead at Aquacomputer, and the normal version of OHM doesn't work with the sensor tool.

The link from our forum works without any problems: http://aquacomputer.de/tl_files/aquacomputer/downloads/aquasuite/Open_Hardware_Monitor_0.4.0_beta.zip

Thanks, Shoggy. That link worked. I must've tried to download it on a day when something wasn't jibing between my computer and your file servers.
