DIYPC Alpha-GT3 Black Acrylic and Aluminum ATX Bench Case Bench Computer Case for ATX/Micro ATX motherboard

Just starting

So far it is very nice and well made

All of the parts of the test bench are fitting together nicely

Problems so far

3 of the motherboard stand-off need the thread cleaned

size: 3mm-.5

Im thinking of ordering me one of these how do you like it? My only concern is I need three 5.25 bays but from the looks of it I can not install the brackets for the 2.5/3.5 drives and just put my res in their spots.

you have 3 drive bays they could all be 5.25"

just leave the other rail guides and brackets off and mount the 5.25" to the side boards as in the 1st and 2nd picture

Im about to get one. Im glad you said "I left the brown paper on there" cuz if you didn't I was about to start looking at a different one. I like that all black, just didnt know it came covered with paper.

Any update with this? How has to held up to date?

I am going to move my 2600k rig on to a bench and looking at this over the Lian li one. Personally I like the looks of this one over the Lian li. I also would need a way to mount my H100 or Antec 920.

Mine has held out really well. Not really a moveable bench like the Lain Li (I own both), but has more access to components. The Lian Li has the upper bar in the way. The DIY looks great imo.

Great post... my only concer is the low capacity on the bays... but also it is acrilyc, you could make your own...

This case is capable of four drives. I have a 2.5 SSD and three 3.5 drives. The 2.5 is mounted on a 3.5 slide in. One of the 3.5's is mounted on the other 3.5 slide-in. The third 3.5 is mounted on stand-offs as shown in the build manual. The 5.25 ODD is mounted directly within the drive cage at the top.
