The GTX 680 WILL NOT be as fast as 3 gtx 580s flat out no way the demo of it supposedly beating 3 580s was a rigged bench no other way to put it (highly optimized benchmark not running the same settings as the 580s=rigged)aside from that its just plain bad business to release a card that is 3 times faster than your current best

Dont get me wrong id love to see the 680 be that fast it just wont happen tho at most your looking at 15-30% average over a 580 and probably less that 5-10% average over a 7970 plus expect a price tag close to the $650 mark or higher if gpu prices stay the same

Back on topic

the asus sabertooth is a great board i love mine its a good pick and is almost on par with a UD7 as for the gpu i would go 7970 it allows for the addition of another card later on with out the loss of trifire

also i love my Bulldozer chip i got it at a great price i would pick up a fx 8120 instead of the 8150 their basiclly the exact same chip but one costs alot more ive seen the fx 8120 on sale for $175 which is a great price point for that chip

Windows 8 is rumored to give at most 10% ekstra performance per core to Bulldozer. That doesn't help in the slightest when a single core on the 2500k is clock for clock almost twice as fast. It's not a case of "Intel is a bit better," it's a case of "Intel runs circles round AMD"

You're paying more for less with an FX-8150. Going with an FX-8150 over an i3-2100 for gaming is downright stupid.

ya thats not true in the slightest its been proven again and again and again that the fx 81xx is roughly on par with an i5 depending on application maby a little slower not to mention the OP said he didnt want to go with intel already I will concede that the intel series is better for gaming and that the 8150 is over priced but its nothing like Arni90 makes it out to be

OP dont listen to this guy

As far as brand goes just make sure to get a reference model since you *(may go water)* down the road, I have a PowerColor and a XFX ref 6970 and i can't really tell the diff between the two.

Asus/MSI/XFX/Saffire/Powercolor are all good brand to pick from
