How is typing slowing you down?

A mechanical keyboard won't make you a better player.

The main benefits (I think) are that you don't have to depress a key entirely for it to engage. There is potential there to "increase" your movement speed, but as a rubberdome user myself when you first get a MECH. You will still bottom out the keys potentially negating the speed increase.

Typing is more enjoyable on a mech ( at least in my opinion) but I can't say I type any faster than I did on a cheap rubber dome board. Its a totally different feel for sure. It took me about a week to get used to typing on a mech. As far as switch type theres no real way to tell you which 1 you'll like best. Thats something only you can decide. I prefer the MX blues for FPS gaming ,typing and everything in between. Some people hate blues for FPS gaming though. Thats something that is just personal preference. We can all tell you what we prefer but that may be in total conflict with what you end up thinking is the best switch type.

Yea maybe you are right, but it has no negative points, i need a mechanical keyboard xD

you don't need to find excuses to get a mech, just get it. if you like it, that's awesome! if you don't, you can always resell it. and if it's a filco, it will be bought quickly.

win win i say.

True none that I can think of except the "noise"

I bought a BlackWidow a long while back from (flame suit on) BestBuy (it was an impulse buy don't judge)

I ended up returning it the next day because it wasn't, IMO, worth the extra scratch. To me a MECH isn't the "next best thing since sliced bread" that people make it out to be, but I do intend to buy another one sooner or later.

Das,Filco, Razer BWU( I don't care what the haters say its a good mech),Corsair, SteelSeries, Deck, Ducky all make good boards, Just find 1 that suits your preference. Honestly if I had the extra scratch to buy another mech I'd get 1 of the Filco camo boards. It just looks killer to me.

Having owned a black widow stealth myself. After a a few months of use. I bought mine in November i can already see a developing onon my WASD cluster. Which is very annoying. So the keycaps on the black widows i know for sure stealth or non stealth are very cheap. Not saying any other keycaps are better but it sure was a gripe i had about mine.

Black widow or CM quick fire pro are the only sub 100 options there are. Filco is the other option in the ones i linked above. Try mx browns first. If you dislike there are plenty of people here or on geek hack willing to trade boards with your if you want to try a different switch.
