I put new thermal compound on a few hours ago. Will running prime all night hurt the compound

au contraire - it will help bed in the new thermal compound. A little heat will do no harm!

nope but depending on the compound it may need to fluctuate from hot to cold a good few times before its "set in"

Arctic silver...so the ups and downs are in it. I'll run prime overnight with it and turn it off in the am. Long heat, long cool.

If i might put my $.02 in, the m4a87td evo is not great over about 3.6 ghz with thuban, mine would throttle cpu speed at 3.8ghz due to mosfet heat, so get some mosfet cooling if you haven't already/
