Ivy or Sandy?

Thread Starter
So I just got money to finally upgrade my processor mobo and ram, but yet I still live in Brazil, what makes the things more difficult.

I'd like to know, will ivy really worth to wait for? I'm seeing a sale on a 2500k for about 250U$, which is really uncommon around here, the prices of this processor are always near 350$.

So I've been thinking, should I upgrade to a 2500k + azrock z68 extreme 4 gen3 + 8gb ripjaws x for a total of approximately 700$, or should I wait for ivy (that will have a delay of least 3 months to get to Brazil for I'd bet 400$ minimum)?

Since Ivy is going to release in the next 30 prospective days I would wait. The question is ... how long until your computer parts vendors in Brazil have the parts?

From what I've seen so far, I'd say Sandy.

Wait, if Ivy isn't something you want, you still should see a price drop of Sandy.
From what I have seen though, Ivy bridge will be significantly faster.

The problem would be waiting 3 months with this Q9550 =/

I mean, I it's still a good processor, but I'm getting sick of it, don't know if only I have feelings like these when it comes to technology... Hahahaha

Of course, if ivy would really mean an upgrade over sandy, those 3 months could easily wait
