Do any of you change NB volts or SB volts. Like I said Im new and I dont know what affects this would have on my system.

Not NB volts but you can overclock the CPU-NB (the IMC on chip). Raising the CPU-NB frequency from 2Ghz to 2.6-2.8 will give a noticeable improvement (more so than any additional cpu overclock). Since you have a black edition you can just set the cpu-nb multiplier higher in the bios.

I have it at 3000 that is the most my mobo will allow. I have the HT link at 2600. Is that a good overclock? Im pleased with it. Just want to make sure all my viltage is right. I know you can mess stuff up under and over volting.

My NB is a 3100 MHz but I got pretty lucky there..

CPU = 4000MHz @ 1.34375 vCore
MULTI = 16.0x
NB = 3000MHz CPU/NB @ 1.28125 V
RAM = 1666MHz @ 1.55 V
FSB = 250 @ NB = 1.15 V
HT = 2000MHz

LOWER YOUR HT! Do not overclock the HT - anything above about 2100 and below about 1800 will cause performance decrease... there is a very well written thread somewhere on here talking about this, don't worry about why just lower that to 2000 or so.

Your voltages seem fine.. keep the CPU under 1.5, the CPU-NB under 1.4, the RAM might be between 1.55 and 1.65 volts stock so don't really up that more than .05 in most cases (more than that usually doesn't help much anyway) Keep the MOBO-NB under about 1.250 or so I like to keep it under 1.2 but it can vary depending on the quality of the board more or less.

3000 is great on you NB.

It's always better to OC with the FSB - it can be harder but I have a BE CPU myself and I still OC'd mostly with the FSB.. it will allow you to get the absolute most out of your system, and offers more fine-tuned control. The same processor running at the same clock speed will be slower OC'd by multi than by FSB every time.. not but much, but it will - especially when you take the fact into account the OCing the FSB also OC's everything else in the system at the same time.

Thank you VERY much for that informative answer. Im not new to hardware just OCing. This is just what I was looking for. All forums just say "you got a BE. OC the multiplier." I notice that my cpu is pretty vcore hungry and cpu-z reports different vcore than what I set in BIOS. I attemped a fsb of 226x16.5 I think but couldnt prime. Thats 3.7xxghz. So Im pretty confused. Maybe my HT link caused stability issues. Im going to attempt a simular OC to yours. Ill report back.
