Is upgrading my Asus Z68 LE a good move?

I currently have the ASUS P8Z68-V LE and I feel as I need to upgrade. My computer will begin booting up (before windows splash screen) and the computer turns off and then restarts and then boots fine. This happens every time after a cold start. My guess is that the board is messed up.

I am deciding to upgrade to the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Is the extra $70 actually worth it? Or should I just go with the older chipset.

I am sorta a Asus fan boy but not married to them so any other recommendations would be nice.

Issues with my current asus Z68 LE board:
- My second hard drive does not show up in the drag and drop bios
- Auxtin and Cputin temps are just way to high I do not think it is my airflow because I have tried different flows and even open case.
- Computer shuts off and reboots before windows slash screen
- Seems slow to get to splash screen. Booting up to slash screen takes over 15 seconds and only takes 7 seconds after that because of the amazing plextor SSD!

The long time it takes to boot up to splash screen is normal because motherboards these days have a lot of controllers. May I know what CPU you're using??

Is your BIOS updated (P8Z68-V-LE BIOS 0805)? Did you load all the latest drivers form the ASUS website?

Generally the Lite Edition (LE) mobos from Asus are not good overclockers.

I was hoping to hit 4.5ghz smoothly without ANY issues. I just want a stable motherboard. I am a little confused if the board I actually do have is stable.

Is it wrong to continue with Asus? I always had the idea that they where rock solid at making boards.

Switching to that MB you mentioned, and putting on a $30 CPU cooler like the 212+ should launch it to 4.5 stable. The UEFI bios will do it for you no prob. Maybe 4.8?

And Asus is the only MB I trust. Just my thoughts.

Grateful

Don't get me wrong, to me Asus is the best mb maker in the world. Just don't get their LE mb if you wanna overclock.
